12 is a performance project undertaken through collaboration with Toronto-based artist Nedda Baba (exhibition publication available for purchase here). 12 comments on issues of queer visibility and struggle through absurd and illegitimate enactments. All gestures for the project stem from the artists’ lived experiences as bi and utilize an array of public spaces to engage viewers to witness and partake in performative disruptions.
Contributing Toronto-based artists include Sonya Filman, Karly Whalen, Johanna Thompson, Scott Osborne, and Ebrahim Bagheri Zadeh, with 12 documentation credit to Sam Lowen (Toronto). Photographic documentation of 12 was exhibited at the Art Gallery of Hamilton as part of the exhibition Hamilton Now: Subject (2018).
